Second Visit to Encontro dos Rios...

First: Where it all begins for Brazil's great soccer stars...

Sundays are my day with my daughter. I wanted to take her out, so we went to Encontro dos Rios again - which for me is another opportunity to take photos. While the general area of the place is very poor, I love the subjects that are there for story telling.

This picture above captures the simplicity and poverty of this side of the city. I've seen many a photo of an old person working that are only beautiful images when they are captured in an image.

I wasn't particularly happy about how these turned out. The jet ski pictures seemed like a good idea, but the water is dirty and and ugly and the angle was bad. Maybe next time I can get a better angle.

These children have the right idea. Relaxing at the river, watching jet ski's pass by.
